    The Coasters, coming like a phoenix from the flames of the Robins, were signed to Atlantic’s sister label, Atco, in ‘55 and in January ’56 cut the magnificent ‘Down In Mexico’ and ‘Turtle Dovin’ to become the first classic of the group – and every three or months there was another, just as good, throughout the ‘50s and early ‘60s/10(5).

    A compilation of singles by The Coasters on the ATCO Records label except for tracks A6, A7, B2 - B6 which are by The Robins on the Spark (2) label which was owned by Leiber & Stoller. Recorded early to february at MASTER recorders (ABE "BUNNY" ROBYN studio) North Fairfax Avenue, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA/5(20).

Covering four years and two distinct lineups, including a good portion of the period when the group was known as ‘the Robins’, and including 13 songs supplied by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller (probably the most legendary team of composers of the whole rock /5(76).
